Dennis Hopper hosted a screening of Easy Rider. The event sponsored by The Week took place at the Soho House. Dennis Hopper came with his wife Victoria and his friend Julian Schnabel who brought his whole family. Among others in the glamorous crowd joining them were Peter Brant and Stephanie Seymour, Fran Lebowitz, Margherita Missoni, and Famke Janssen.
Hopper: “There have been a lot of wild stories about the making of this film, but honestly, we made it in six weeks. There were 45 hours of film, and it took a year to edit. This film is, ultimately, a time capsule.”
Schnabel: “Sometimes, being your friend I forget how great this movie is and I treat you like a normal person.”
